Collection: Jeanne Maze

Jeanne Maze is an Anglo-French painter known for her vibrant pastel works. Born in London, she now resides in South-West France, where she exclusively uses pastels inherited from her grandfather, the post-impressionist painter Paul Maze.

"The range of colours and pigments offers astonishing flexibility," she says. After studying at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London, Jeanne began her career as a muralist, focusing on Chinese art for clients in North America and Europe. Her work, inspired by travels to Cuba, Sri Lanka, and Marrakech, has been exhibited in London and France. It took me nearly 40 years to open my grandfather’s extraordinary collection of pastels, and now I see why he was so fascinated by them," she reflects.

In addition to her art, Jeanne manages the family's Cognac vineyard. Her latest London exhibition beautifully captured the changing seasons in the vineyard.
